This untitled photo series is by Saul Singleton, featuring Ariann Barker. The projects presents a juxtaposition of varying materials that physically melds the adaptability of wire with the unpredictability of slime. The grainy texture of the images gives a ubiquitous mystique towards the subject. This intentional choice highlights an outline in lieu of any particular details, ridding the audience of assuming any presumptions onto the figure. It leaves the viewer immersed in an otherworldly atmosphere of abstracted silhouettes and dynamic hues.
Saul Singleton (@saulsingleton) is a LA-based mixed media artist, photographer and DJ. Hailing from Bethesda, Maryland, Saul has a unique aesthetic that melds dynamic and textural visuals, creating a space that oozes a lofi utopia. He’s done work for brands such as Tinder, Getty Images and Converse. When he is not creating something new, he’s outside exploring with the essentials: a camera, tote bag and journal. Saul is a current junior at USC, majoring in Film Production in the School of Cinematic Arts and minoring in Intermedia Arts at Roski, School of Art and Design.
